I just read this week end the first book of the collection written by Jean Francois Parot"l'enigme des blancs-manteaux".Here is a drawing I made of the hero with his second inspector Boudereau.Like you maybe have guessed looking at my blog ,I like historical mystery murders. In this book the hero is not that smart and not much of a fighter either and very slow in putting two and two together .The writer does a great job describing Paris and his people under the reign of Louis XV .Quite, filthy and sordid ,not medieval but not far.
