#753 the Saint

#752 L'OEUVRE

In English: "The Masterpiece" by Zola. Cezanne did not appreciate this book. Zola portrays the life of an  artist, his tantrums, his frustrations, his obsessions, his dreams of perfection, his inability to love women, his child or life itself.
The gruesome story of all paintings and sculptures portrayed in this book add insult to injury.
This story is a phenomenal slap in the face to the art world and creative endeavor in general.
I suggest you buckle up and read it,it will give you some perspective.

#733 Jungle Book

After watching the stunning 1942 version of "Jungle Book" with Sabu, I discovered that two new movies of the same subject are now being made, by Disney and by Warner. It's a wonderful story and I can't wait to see them both.
